I remember a thread about this but i cant find it.
Anyway, i just put on some 17" OEM accord euro rims on my dc5, and whilst the OEM wheel nuts from my old OEM DC5 rims fit, i'm looking to get some aftermarket wheel nuts.
Is this safe to do??

depends on the type of wheel nuts.
is it round or tapered? has to match with the wheels.

this is tapered nut?, oem usually not straight like that but more rounded.
btw what did you do with your stock dc5r rims?

Well i havent looked at what lock nuts to get, but they need to fit the OEM rims (euro rims). i want to make sure using aftermarket nuts are safe before i go ahead.
Stock DC5 (not r) rims are still in my garage, keeping them as spare for the time being :)

yea, try to feel the hole on your rims, does it feel like a bowl or feel straight?
thats how i make sure. maybe you have a better way hehe.
the pic above is usually what aftermarket lugs would look like, tapered.

Accord euro and most stock wheels would have Acorn or round lugs, unless there sports wheels.
As i have noticed that the Euro sport wheels use tapered nuts stock.
The one shown above is a Tapered which is a 45deg slant.
Hope this helps you

im pretty sure that most oem honda rims require a radius/ball wheel nut which is round. these seem to be hard to find in aftermarket (in my opinion). plenty of people including myself are running oem rims with tapered/conical wheel nuts. just make sure they are tight and check them regularly.....
