I know one of the members on here has a Hyo - but I still have to say the number of horror stories I have heard/read about these is pretty high. Personally I would prefer to get a second hand Japanese bike than a Hyo.

If you can find a CB400 that would be perfect.
And better quality than most brands flagship models.

I had a hyo.

Had it for about 13 months. They are ok.

If u were to buy one. Dont buy new, youll loose too much (i lost $300 over 13 months on a second hand, but only cos i wanted a quick sale, the guy i bought it off lost 2k, he bought it new). They arent worth getting new. Dont buy a 650 expecting to keep it off your Ls and Ps. There are little things that will annoy you. Buy a jap bike then.

Basically, its good to keep for about a yr. It will do its job.
I would consider one again if i needed to do my Ls again, ecspecially if your other option is a 20yo 15 previous owners imported CBR, but not to keep for a few years once your on your fulls

If you want a big bike to keep once you are off restrictions spend the extra dosh and get a ducati monster 620.

Or else i am 6'5 105kg and im on a cbr250 you look out of place but they still ****in fly.

They are my recommendations.

i would stay away from it go for either a spada, vtr or maybe even a gsx650f just depends on the price range your looking at. If i had to choose a LAM again i would go for open bike rather then full fairing
1. Its more comfortable
2. If you do drop it cost cheaper to repair since there's no fairing
