I've started noticing this buzzing sound when slowing down, it has to be silent in the car or with my window down. As i change gears to slow down i can notice it but it comes and goes. Its almost like its coming from my front right wheel but i cant be sure.
As i push in the clutch and change gears i cant hear it, but when i release the clutch and revs adjust i usually hear it. So it might be something to do with the wheel rotation.
Its a long shot but if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.

Nothing to do with the wheel because it goes away when you press the clutch in while your car is moving.

sounds more like worn brakes and that's the metallic warning noise. but need to be more specific.

what aarrong said makes sense, so it cant be the wheel.
The brake pads were replaced a few months ago so can't be them. Although the front disc is wearing cause i can see around the circumference towards the centre is a darker colour, could that be causing that sound? I was driving it again about 1hr ago and you can only really notice it around 40km/h, i accelerate a bit then release the accelerator and the noise comes and goes and repeat and hear it again. It definitely sounds like its coming from the wheel region/discs/brakes.

turns out the noise was something to do with either the front rotors or pads, I just put new DBA rotors and bendix pads in the front and the noise is gone.

what intake is it?
with throttle or no throttle and revs drop?

I would check and make sure there is no air leaks in the exhaust, my old integra did the same and it was faulty gasket near the cat.

Could be the clutch and clutch springs.

Ok, with my luck i knew the noise would come back. I took the front wheels off the other day and pulled the pads from the calipers to see if i could see anything causing the problem but i can't, when i put it all back together and drove it for a day or so the noise was gone again. I think it could be the clips that hang over the edge of the calipers that hold the pads in the calipers that vibrate on the caliper but thats just a wild guess.

its happens with both throttle or no throttle. it just has to be in gear and it happens
Could be the clutch and clutch springs.
i think you're right. when i push the clutch in the sound goes away.
does this indicate that my clutch is wearing out ?
the sound is getting louder now

looks like it might be time for a clutch replacement...

so its something to do with the gearbox region.
any other ideas ?
im gonna have it looked at this week but if i got a few suggestions to give to my mechanic, should make the job a lot quicker and easier for him

My buzzing noise seems to only start once the car warms up a bit, as its getting warmer it will only happen during deceleration. Once its warm it will do it all the time and pretty constant except when pressing in the clutch it disappears until the clutch is released again then comes back.
Initially this problem was only happened during deceleration and even then it was only 50% of the time now once the cars warm its always doing it. Especially on the way back from the cruise, the noise was loud with the windows down
It can only be heard when rolling if the car is sitting idle there is no noise.

Having similar issue with my Euro, but its only occuring as the car slows down in a gear(Ie, decelerating from 30km/h to 10km/h)... Its more like a whirling noise, And if clutch is in nuet, sound goes away.
At first thought something might be scraping onto the flywheel or whateva, but dosnt seem to have any sounds during acceleration....
