2 Minor Probs On my 2nd Gen CRX

yo i have 2 probs with my CRX

1st prob) My car runs smooth mostly idle is smooth and all but sumtimes after drivin it for a bit it will be really rough form 1000 Rpm till about 2500Rpm... its all spluttery.. i thought it may be dirty injectors??? or shitty chord or sumfn?? what u guys reckon??

2nd prob) when i rev it till like 5000rpm my tacho needle goes a bit wild and doesnt stay steady anyone else get thsi prob??


p.s. I have a FUKED! clutch im gettin a new one asap it slips like hell, thought i'd mention that just incase if its part of thr probs...

1) could be leads, or dizzy cap, rotor button.
2) seen this before in a prelude, turned out to be dry solder joint in the tacho circuitry on the PCB for the cluster. not saying its your problem but possible.

Dizzy cap rotor and HT leads would be the first thing I'd be replacing. I found that my SiR's ones were all stuffed at 180K kms. Like ECU-Man said, it's possible that it's your idle issue.

i got the tacho thingy too sometimes
but usually at 6k =P
it just goes all haywire all over the place occaisionally, doesnt happen very much since we reset my ecu, but dunno if related sumhow?

i still get it, but rarely compared to before so not exactly sure what the problem was

had something 'similar'. main relay playing up. tacho needle played up, later on the engine started to hesitate along with the tacho... but yours could be result of what Setanta/ECU-MAN said.

damn i hope my engine doesnt hesitate, its only got 112xxx kms
