SRS Light On?? Help

Hey guys. I just drove to work and recently realised that the SRS Light was on. I don't think its suppose to be on? Im driving a 96' EK Auto. Advice please ?

Thanks Vinny, i read through it all. But my car was never in accident, and im pretty sure the airbag was never deployed. I've had the car for over 2 years now so its strange this came up now. My friend said it might be something to do with my brakes?

barefootbonzai made a diy to reset the srs light in the diy section, look that up and give it a go

Lol im so sorry im using my fone to post this thread. And it isnt a great fone either to displaying web browser! That thread looks complicated im scared id stuff up my car. Ill be taking it to the mechanic tommorrow. Thanks 4 ur help! i just wantd 2 see maybe what i was dealing with.
