Dc2 center console light conversion

g'day ppl. i own a VTi-R and was trying to do a type R center console light conversion. already got the cluster globes changed :thumbsup:but have problems locating screws to remove the ari con vents/switches to change the globes to amber.:thumbdwn:

i found 2 screws under the radio but still couldnt pop the panel off. is it a clip on??

tried searching it up but nothing turned up. if anyone has done such a converstion before or have the know how your insight is truly appriciated.

you need to pop off the demister and hazard light buttons and there screws behind either one. you also need to disconnect a chords thingo behind the climate control which is attached to the heater control. its a silver wire thing with a loop on the end just pull the loop off the tab to release it.

Spot on. Just had one apart the other day.
Get a small screwdriver (can wrap the end in electrical tape/rag to stop damage to your plastic panels if your real anal). Now carefully wedge the haz and demister switches out and remove them off the electrical plugs. Then you will see 2 x screws, remove them with a suitable screwdriver and you should be able to pull the whole heater control panel out.
