It was running low 12's on a stock motor with bolt-ons.

Since then, has a set of cams with the valve train to suit. Now running high 11's.

H22a motors are still up there with the Kseries :p

Its taken you this long to work that out? :p

There is still plenty of life left in the old truck engine yet. :)

I've done research on h2b for over 2 years now. I have all the gear for it since last year, jsut never had the chance to test the setup

The time for the 3rd pass is very close to Luke's best run. Same time, but Luke has a slightly slower 60ft with slightly more mph.

I believe this is still a street car

I was merely making the point that 2 totally different H setups ran almost identical times.

i found out h22a can be obtained VERY cheap and conversion in total may only add to 1.5k

total conversion labour + all other sh1t + motor = 1.5k? rofl sure... the motor + box alone will cost more then that and mounts alone cost anywhere from 800-1k. fail....

yeh h2b setup will be cheaper than k series, but the downfall for it is P\S

p/s is overrated.

a good h2b set-up will be around the 8k mark depending on price of the motor

i want a h22 now :) im a bit of a noob here.. with h22 swaps you cant keep power steering?

^^^^straight h22 swap I can keep p/s(ek), not 100% on eg...

but i researched h2b for a little while. the conversion is not cheap at all. you goto find a b18cr front cut (you can sell out the engine which will help) but are quite rare and expensive due to currency you are looking at 6k already. then you have to find the evolution conversion kit and with currency is is 1000+ and shipping. h22a motor. install. everything else that is going wrong.

10k budget would be fairly accurate for this

but definently would haul ass.

why would you buy a b18cr halfcut?

Just need to find bits and pieces and your set.

yeah im pretty sure u dont need a full b18cr front cut :P but can anyone else answer my question about powersteering with h22 drop in an eg? cheers.

ive got a fully reconditioned h22a from a 1997 honda prelude vtir for sale, also comes with wiring loom ecu, LSD gearbox (aftermarket) if any1 is interested.

motor has dont around 15000km since the recon. PM me :P

think about the time it will take to source each individual part... who is randomly selling an ecu or a gearbox, or linkages or whatever... half cut is the simple option as everything is there.... and then just sell the motor...

seems logical thing IMO but yer u can definently do it other ways...

in terms of p/s.. p.m barefootbonzai. he will let you know everything you can and cant do with conversions, even try egjoe...

True. All you need is b series gearbox and h2b adaptor and your set.

Only thing is by the time you pay for gearbox and adaptor the price will be equivalent to the h22 frontcut. Unless you have a b series gearbox lying around like Benson does.

PS, Cant wait to see your results benson, been thinking about it for years
