I noticed I had the engine light symbol come up when I drove into work today. Anyone know what this means? I left my manual at home.

or its already on when you start the engine

Check recent modification done to the car, petrol cap not on tight can cause it to lit up also check if there any plugs in the the engine that may of came lose.

Thanks for the advice... I lost control in the wet and slid across like 3 lanes over teh highway... i had the symbol come on for the entire night but its actually gone now...so I guess its fine. Thanks anyway
