Ok so I have decided after much thought that my car will be a drift/show car because I like drifting and because I want something that looks nice XD

I dont want anything higher then 350hp because i am not suicidle XD haha also i want mainly for drift and D/D What parts should I be looking at with a budget of $6000 for turbo setup I have bout a $15,000 Budget I want to keep lower then for the engine setup etc. (Turbo, intercooler and such, intake manifold, throttle body, cam, cam gears, wire tucking, upgraded engine to b20vtec or b18cr (which is better for drifting?), 5lug conversion, gauges and all that jazz XD) also should I look at getting a new exhaust setup?

whats first thing I should upgrade?

i've seen a civic sedan drift on a drifitng comp.
He got the best effort award or somthing, cos they were suprised how well he could perform a single drift. He got kicked out in the next session when there was 2 drifiting points left and then right. :) was a good try though.

its not drifting its arse dragging

FWD is banned in D1 i'm pretty sure as is awd

fwd can only drifft as long as it has momentum
whereas rwd can drift as long as it can power over the rear wheels, cause they can pick up speed while sliding

Mate it sounds like your very excited and have alot of Enthusiasm. But mate, sounds like you dont know too much (no problem with that, everyone has to start somewhere), and sounds like you need to do ALOT of research before you go spending money. If you dont you WILL look back and regret it. Thats something Everyone on this forum can agree on.

15k will get you a good slider.

Honda isn't for sliding (ever wondered how much it costs to replace dori damage on a S2k?)

Try this place www.nissansilvia.com

ae86 are still great drifters, but i'd prefer the s15.
s15 is the king of drifters

lol yeah he is

i know a guy at work who drifts

and i quote what he said

"AE86's are overrated fan boy cars, that happened to handle really well"

Hes owned a JDM 86, S13, S3 RX7 and hes drifted skylines laurels and all that

He said silvias drift themselves and are better to learn in whereas an 86 will keep you frustrated for months with their lack of power and a beginners lack of experience

Each to their own.

I heard good things about the hachi, and same about the Sil..

I'd probably go a Sil due to takumi tax and parts..

But If cash was no option, LEVIN GT APEX COUPE FTW!

And yeah i mean for a first time drifter i dont think they'd have the balls to flick the car into the main turn at QR at 100km's or so

I know i wouldn't i'd absolutely shiiit myself.... I'd rather learn in something that can oversteer and you can learn the basics of controlling a sliding car before you go pushing a car to its grip limits to slide with little power

Have you got any pics of your levin??

IF cash were no option

Trueno GT APEX COUPE with f20c

True.. but then again, if you don't have the balls to do that, i've been told drifting isn't for you LOL!

AE86 is a perfect car to learn the basics of sliding and oversteer with... a 4A-GE powered Trueno is brilliant! Try it...

and I have pics of my levin LOL! I might put them in spam..

lol you wanna bet?!?! ROFL

hahaha yeah I do.. Show me Allan :P

They are famous for being very snappy on the limits.. it's not really a slider LOL!

Well going on what someone told me who owns one and has been circuit racing for many many years.. That why he bought a S2K, 'cos if you don't respect the car, you'll be facing 180 degrees the other way :P

A good way to learn how to handle a rear wheel car without sliding everywhere LOL

Personally dude to save yourself the trouble if you have a $15,000 Budget just go buy a second hand pre-made Drift/Street car that someone is selling on www.nissansilvia.com. $15,000 will get you a long way these days to make you slide but personally $15,000 wont get you anywhere in terms of Show car unless you buy an eg civic for under $1000 and get a 6g paint job and some TV's lol apparently TV's will make any car show these days. *sif bling tho honestly*
