new project b18c2 turbo

hay guys my new project is a b18c2 turbo gonna put in a ed four door or hatch.
parts that i have are...
*t3 hybrid with a skyline rear housing
*2mm metal head gasket
*buddy club lock guard
*skun2 pro cam shaft
*turbo smart waste gate 38mm
*xs power ram horn manifold (i no its not the best but i got it from my beautiful wife that im happily marred too so im gonna use it and some of the accessories)
parts gonna get...
*cp piston
*port & polish head
*balance bottom end
*micro tech ecu with coil packs
*550 cc injectors
*500 hp fuel pump
the list goes on and on but got to wait for the funds lol thanks for reading my thread guys :]

what compression are you thinking of running with this motor?

how much boost?

Dude Defiantly have to please the wife or she will kill ya if you dont use it. But i gotta tell you i had that manifold and i think theres nothing thats not living in this world that i hate more than that manifold. I have it handing on the wall in my shed and when ive cut my hand working on the car or when i need to test paint ive vented my anger on it. 15 times i must of got that manifold welded and reinforced.. Hahhah once i was driving home and that manifold started leeking and im like "that would be right not again" getting closer to home it gets louder and louder and i get in the driveway and no bull the turbo ripped off the manifold. I laughed a bit then removed it, and hit it with a sledge hammer so i wouldnt make myself go get it fixed again. I ended up spending close to 1g on a steam pipe manifold and i havent had one problem since.

What is the 2mm gasket for when you have listed forged pistons?

What is the 2mm gasket for when you have listed forged pistons?


im not really sure but people have told me that it helps with dropping the compression, i know i can get low compression pistons but shouldn't it help having that gasket

low compression will just make the motor a dog off boost.

youre better off leaving the original compression ratio untouched, and running less boost.

Your new pistons can do that. Keep those head quench zones close to the deck.

I ran a stronger head gasket but it doesnt change the compression are you sure your not talking about that? As DLO01 said your pistons will be lowering you compression for boost so no need to be getting a thicker gasket to be lowering your compression even further. Unless you wanna run like 25+ psi

Well i got Forgets Crank, Pistons, Rods, with full rebuild sleaved with oversized pistons with 9.3 compression and mine was rated at 25psi Max but im going to push mine to 20 maybe 22 MAX just to be on the safe side.

I running 7psi atm and im getting 240-250hp atw's with a b16a2. Your b18 will have more torque but all depending on how you set it up in the end and the tune i will say you will be lookin at similar power or little less on 7psi with more torque but more lagg with that larger turbo. I had a similar turbo to that t04e and it was great but very laggy, my gt28rs is much nicer.

I think also you motor max 20psi i would say without a better crank but i cant be 100% about that cos i have been told stock cranks are fairly strong. Maybe someone else can help with that.
