Have you gotten over the stage of revving the crap out of every gear yet? or you still syked.

i drove it last night in the rain. i only went to 5000rpm and stopped there, its new and its raining so i didnt fool around. my bro drove it and he had no trouble finding the redline. when he got out of the car he said make sure you bring it 2moro i want to drive it again. LOL...

and yes im still syked.

Yeah i was driving home in the wet also, is was more scraed than anything cause my fronts are going a little bold so i was like taking corners in 4th gear otherwise it would have just started spinning.

Try come down on Sat if you can so we can chat and take some photos of our Stockas, lolZ:cool:

just hit up the dealer if your really concerned about it, or just slap a set of rims on, thats what im doing as soon as the rubber on mine reaches the point of no return!

i was thinking ill just wait for the tyres to wear out and get a set of rims.

Isn't break-in supposed to be slow driving and babying the engine for the first 1000km's or something like that? Normally breaking in an engine doesn't involve redline.

well its done when you first buy the car, they say to trash it, not always redline it but not to baby the car as babying the car wont open up the engine so you will never get the full potential of the car's performance. Plus these days new cars are made for the engine to be broken in once the car is bought.

Yeah proper break-in methods are to be really smooth on the clutch/brakes/revving so redline does no real harm, just as long as you're not too aggressive on these three factors.
And all new cars will have a proper break-in method/period, in USA its typically 1000ish miles or so of keeping it under 5000rpm with smooth accelerating, braking, and shifting.

I'm not much of a modifiyer, I might get some wheels later but only cosmetic stuff, dont want to tamper with the engine at the moment. You got any mods? any site in particular you go to buy mods for your car?
