using motul 8100 here, 5w-40. the thing is you can only find them in autobarn, and usually the price is higher there. cost around $60++

Just get Castol R oils 0-30w is only like $40-50  and does a better job then Mobil 1

thin oils goes black really quick like 2-3000kms. Personally Castrol R = quality and price for me :D

Another option is Honda FEO

tried the castrol formula r 5w-30, like others said it get dirty real fast, be expect to change oil every 2.5k~ 3k. and notice the gas mileage wasn't as good when using mobil 1 or motul.

if you can stretch the budget, get mobil 1 or even motul.

what? that does'nt read correctly...you are saying go and spend more, and achieve worse fuel economy?

I think there is an "as" missing between the "good" and "when"....

In The End it really doensn't matter what oil you use as long as it is close to factory recommend and serviced every 5000km with any oil you can't go wrong...........with any car

probably the case now you point that out...funny how one word missing can completely change the meaning

sorry, that was a bit misleading, let me rephrase it :D

gas mileage is better while using mobil 1 and motul, but worsen when using castrol

the difference is about 30~50 km per tank

Psyklops

yeah Motul make some pretty good stuff eh! ;)

Hmm that's weird......I have always used mobile 1 15w-50 for my previous car but Lots of people with turbo cars are leaning towards Castrol for some reason.......having said that Motul is one brand i have to try as well

Spoon Fit, I thought you are using Motul???

I am thinking of getting Mobil 1 to replace the current one after another 1,000km. Are they different grade of Mobil 1? Should I get the 10-30W Mobil 1 or different grade??

Hi guys,
I looked on the Motul website and it seems like their oils are used for racing. I assume that is why they are a lot better? (more endurance etc.)

cheers.

motul 4100 turbolight can be used for 4cyl and does the job that is what i am going to use once i swirch over at 10000km ....300v is really good stuff if you take you car on track regularly but cost a fortune. i personally don't think it's necessary

Bank on Motul...if it's towards performance-oriented then the Motul 300V range is for you mate...go with either the Competition (15W50) or Chrono (10W40) series & you're looking at around $80 for 4L from Autobarn (quality is never cheap)...I'm running the Competition in my turbo VTEC & she loves it

Car's only done 18000kms, but I changed the oil at 5000intervals and let the dealer service it at 10000. I'm using Honda FEO. But after 20,000 when its fully run in I was thinking of using Shell Helix Ultra 5w40. Its the oil I use in the lude. Anybody has experience with this?
