I was at the Honda dealer today getting my CRV serviced and took the chance to snap some pics of the new Jazz. Pics taken with my K700i phone so please excuse the quality.

here are the changes that I have picked up:

- clear headlights (no more amber turn signal)
- new bumper
- new body kit for VTIS. The front and rear bumpers are actually different bumpers rather than a lip added for the body kit. The spoiler is smaller now. I think the old VTIS looks better
- new alloy wheel design for VTIS and new hub cap design for others.
- new seat fabrics
- paddle shift for VTI and VTIS
- new stereo (looks much nicer now)
- new dash gauges. They are now similar to the Accord Euro in that they are purple and light up without the need for the headlights to be on.

Interesting ommissions:
- no signal mirrors
- no rear disc brakes
- no LED tail lights

All in all its not much of an upgrade. I like the new stereo but in almost all other areas, I prefer the previous Jazz.

well i like the new bumper but don't care about the headlights. the dash is an improvement, would love to see the dials in person to decide if it's an improvement. like the new alloys too, but the rear spoiler doesn't look as good. i like the old interior trim. i'd think paddle shifts is worse than the old one cos it's harder to turn & shift together.

when i saw it at the motor show, it didnt have the white-face dials...
i think the white face ones look better...

Very disappointing indeed.

At least it doesn't make me want to sell mine so I can get the updated one

I think the stock Vti/Gli would look better, it looks simpler IMO and better.

But the VTi-S, Mk1 was better. Simpler and cleaner.

New alloys are good too, but 50-50 with Mk1 Jazz.

My $0.022 inc. GST

Well not being a jazz expert i cant notice much difference.
I like that stock cd player, pretty cool.
Theres a white one with black stockies in geelong which looks suprisingly good

i saw it at the motorshow last night.
such a disappointment. the main differences in the car has already been mentioned above.
the vti-s didn't have the white face dials but the GLI did. heh ..

got a brochure from honda aust. the specs are identical to my jazz's (comparing the specifications side by side, seems to be a reprint of the old brochure!) .. which means (repeating the above) - no LEDs, no rear disc brakes, no side mirror indicators, no side airbags. more importantly no new bright yellow colour scheme that the wife saw in the honda.com.jp website.

the new grill mesh makes it look more like a mazda grill.

i prefer the current VTI-S rims as compared to the new one.

i also find the paddle shift CVT to be more intuitive than the current "click-shift" CVT.

i eyeballed the price list and there's no difference.

The 05 vti-s has a factory body kit add on option consisting of fr under spoiler, r under spoiler and colour coded sports grill. Looks very very hot. They also have a revised air filter box design.

Much better than the outgoing model, but considering how much changes JDM Jazz received, it's pathetic.

I'm so glad that there was not much change..........just got my Jazz VTI-S like last month.....even though i knew of the changes and new face lift model coming out at this time ...it didn't bother me that much cause i needed a car.....but the upgrade is a joke......maybe if it had the LED lights and side mirror indicators or a more power in the engine for arguments sake i would be pisssed........but new kit does not do it for me :D

I'm glad i got the pre face life model

I believe the engines should also be more fuel effecient (related to the revised intake) but will offer the same level of performance....

well both versions aren't really that much more economical , instead of 4.9l/per 100km on highway the new jazz does 4.8 :( for the 1.5l and the the 1.4l does 0.1l less also on both highway and combined
