I was wondering if anyone can advise a good product or process to clean the odd finger mark from the roof lining in a MY 06 Euro Lux.
There are just one or two spots that spoil the look of the otherwise clean roof lining.

I sponge and plain water first. That usually gets rid of the marks.
If they are grease bases, then I use a bit of dish washing liquid, then water.
You can buy specific cleaners for the job, but why spend heaps?

Thanks heaps mate.
I guess I wouldn't want to have the sponge very wet though or I might get rid of the marks and replace them with a watermark which might be worse!

Here is a link to what I use;

Look for the "Spot Eliminator"...
It works really, really well!
I used it on my Golf GTI headlining for the exact same reasons you mention. The VW headlining is very thick and needs a delicate touch. Wolfgang Spot Eliminator is your friend!
Just don't make it too moist...;)
Just dab as you go...
I trust this helps, it worked for me!

Thanks everyone.
I'll have a go at it on my day off on Friday.
The marks are only slight so I'll try the "moist" sponge first and see what happens.
I will buy one of the other products though for the longer term and also to get a couple of more stubborn stains from the lining of my wife's Citroen C2 VTR and my daughters Baleno GTX.
Cheers for now

a tip of removing stains....
Remove it asap, water and cloth/sponge...
After 2 hours, the stain will seep in so you will require some stain remover.
After 24 hours, the stain probably had set in and you probably need some strong stain remover.
What about footprints on the roof lining above the back seat?
