do u mean the water squirters?
is so then when u lift the bonnet up underneath thers like 2 little tab bits just squeeze them ( like a clip) and push it through.. as for the hose bit just pull it off the nozzle..

thats how i took mine off when i had to..

fukken lol

the "hexagon" things are the bolts

use a socket set/ratchet to remove it, should be 12mm bolts, or a spanner, and very least a shifter
t pull
the wipers arent ont eh bonnet

an the pipes for the squirters just pull off

done,
thanks everyone,

NEW PROBLEM,

i was bolting the new bonnet back and i broke one of the screws so half of it is inside and ive got the other peice,
what can i do?
ive been suggested to drill into it (same size) causing it to crumble and break and come out.
however my panel beater said only thing to do is use it, as its perminately in there, use it as in, screw a smaller screw into it with a washer so i replace the bolt with a new bolt and i drill a hole in the old bolt(stuck in peice) to reinforce it there,
hope it made sense

suggestion/opnions pappreciated/

yeah. get a new bolt

screw it in

it should push the old bolt thru and cause it too fall out

other wise you can get removal tools

its basically a reverse threaded drill bit.

you drill into the bolt and when it bites it spins the bolt out

can be had from hardware stores, supercheap auto, maybe autobarn

go in and ask for a bolt/thread removal tool/drill bit

you can jb weld them together the two bolts, but id just drive another one through,

Jb weld is like glue for metal. crazy shit, i used it for a crack in my motorbike box, amazing. never needed to fix it again.

Nice.I read about it often on the american sites, they do it all the time for cracks or holes in the engine.I figured,it must work! it's great to hear that hisoka, will keep that cheap fix in mind :)

P.S. If your not confident,I would just take the car to a mechanic and get him to do it.$20 MAX! Then watch and learn and do it yourself next time. That's what I do,all the time.

i owuldnt glue nothing in there

only thing he can do is get washer and bolt in the half bolt thats snapped

putting glue in there will glue up all the thread

or. drill it, becareful not to drill thru the bonnet, get one of those teeth maker tools and put a tad bigger bolt in :)

yer and remeber its heat resistant to some extent, but it takes about 24 hours to fully cure, i was using it after like 6 hours and held up fine

I've decided to get the drill but that can somehow take it out, and re do the entire thing,
currently the OEM bonnet is not sitting flush and theres a bigger gap on one side,
i suspect its because of my shittying bolt-ing-on, i suspect the bolt that snapped was not perfectly alaigned hence the snap and also hence the gap on the side.

omg noobs lol

Method ONE:

get a small drill bit into the center of it....
then get a small metal button head tek screw, hammer it into the hole
because its like a spade on the end of the screw it will wedge itself into the
hole... THEN get a drill with the philips head bit and proceed to unscrew it will
bring the bolt out.... ive used this method with flywheel bolts...

For Reference this is a button head metal tek screw...
can be found at bunnings for like $3

and this is a philips head bit - you will need a No.2 head bit for those screws..
or just use what ever....

Method TWO:

Same deal drill a hole but this time use a small flat blade screwdriver....

and its noit caused by ur "shittying bolt-ing-on", bonnets are very awkward to line up...

wat u can try is, (when you get the other bolt out lol) only tighten 1 bolt
on either side, but dont tighten them completely, just enough so theyre firm and u can still
shift the bonnet around... put it down, line it up, then carefuly open it again
and tighten them up

+rep,

just a thought:
id be abit worried about hammering the thingy into the drill bit as its on the bonnet, knowing me, im gonna put a dent in it! however very useful, i know im going to get it out tomorrow !!!!!!!!

pps: thanks to everyone whos replied/helped in this thread! and guess im glad to of add humour!

haha Awesome man!! :)

He's saying to first get a small drill bit and drill a small hole in centre of the screw thread that's stuck in there.

Then, hammer the screw (in the pic) into the hole then unscrew it out :)

All good mate!!

I GOT IT OUT!!!!
i used a small drill bit to drill into it to fit the thingy in but it wouldnt fit so i kept getting bigger drill bits eventually thinking to smash it all to peices progressing to bigger drill bits,
but then on reverese one of the drill buts reversed it out!
FIXED!!

NEW PROBLEM,
after hours of trying i cant get it to sit flush,
i dont know why,

its one sided, one side too close one side too far, but then when i take off all bolts and try to even it out, it wont clamp at the middle (clip thingy to open bonnet)
dont know if its me or the bonnet:(
shed some light anyone!!

Well done mate!

Good to hear bro

bonnet sitting too far forward or backward???

use the tips of the bonnet to determine how far back or forward to place the bonnet

the curve in the bonnet should run into the bottom curve of the A-pillar, at the bottom of the widscreen there

i havnt got my bonnet lined up after removing it lol... havnt tried lining it up yet
cause im off the road so im not bothered but 1 day haha

thanks for the reply,
ive actually created a thread about it in the noob forum as the problems changed and im hoping to get mroe coverage, so hope to hear from you in there
however to reply to yours, firstly would u mind explaining what the A pillar is ,

Riviera
12-12-2008, 03:42 PM
the A-Pillar is the pillars left and right side of the windscreen running up to the
roof. They hold the windscreen in and block your view lol

where the mirror is but not attached to  ? all good?
