ok this is really easy.. go outside with a friend.. pop your bonnet.. and get your partner in crime.. to stand there and get next to the ABS and start the car.. he will tell you where the noise is coming from.. :)

It happened 4 years ago in 2004.

LOL it is NONE of the above... its not a fuel pump/fan/etc noise...

i have noticed this in the past too... it can go for a while after youve turned it off, it pulses as well, on for a couple of seconds then off... i would compare the noise to the fan of an amplifier in your boot...

OP is this the noise you're tlaking about? i dont know what it is personally, but was always worried about asking simply because of the bullshit thats gone on above

It's your VTEC spooling down ofcourse.

...but... VTEC is a complex molecule like so:

When the VTEC spools down, it makes noises like this.

Solution: Either try MIVEC, or go to JDM Yard and buy some more VTEC. Come's in 2L bottles now, for $34.50.

It is the VTEC fluid returning to the VTEC resevoir. If you have muffler coolant, then it could also be caused by that.

At least your car is not like the Euro. We get a sound at 6000-7000rpm where the VTEC fluid is vibrating so much that it sounds like ball bearings. http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10608&highlight=ball+bearing
