hi all,
88 integra- what motor is in it
only found 2 compliance plates
1 VIN
2 year and modle

the 3rd with engine,trans,trim i cant locate

also is this motor VERY simular in overall dementions to the B18C VETC motor

2 posibilities. D16A1 or B18A1 (DA9).

This motor is definitely not similar to B18C motor in terms of performance. However, swapping one into them is not a problem. Both models are Fuel injected, so that makes it easier to do the swap.

That would be a D series you say similar size and is twin cam could be a d16a1 /a3
if you look to the left of exhaust mani on the engine just where it joins to the gearbox there will be a plac 3cm x 3cm will be stamped on there

are these good motors, it would seem that VTEC motors are the go but surely there are motors in the honda rage of formidable power and reliability
