Last night, some of my friends rose a few interesting points on euro (08 model) after driving and comparing euro and aurion. we were not focus on power performance and interior style, but interior noise level and 18'' wheel upgrade.

first of all, interior noise effect of Accord Euro just on the acceptal level, honestly, we had no doubt for this. Comparing with Aurion, apparently Toyota does much better job to reduce noise effect from wind and engine. However, although these two cars of different brands are on a similar price level in Australian market, more people, particularly in age group from 25 to 40, prefer eruo than aurion because of exterior reason. Therefore, the first question we have is whether we can do some improvements of interior noise reduction on our lovely euro?

second of all, is necessary to charge 17'' wheels to 18''? the 09 generation euro have 18'' wheels on its luxury class. such kind of change is beautiful. perviously, we was always thinking that a big car body but with four non-proportive wheel size on euro, even if they are 17''. but now, honda puts 18'' on euro. that is perfect now. in the other hand, however, one of us said it is unnecessary to make suck change if we are not those people who are going in for ourstanding performance upgrade, except just for cool and good looking.

welcome all to join our discussion and present your view, or even professional ideas.

[this is just a easy taking with friends, if someone dont like it, or such kind of topic is not in your style, please leave quietly. THANKS]

Yeah true but that noise can be fixed easily by adding sound deadening on the doors :)

1. Yes you can sound deaden
2. I dont know what your asking? if you want 18s, put on 18s...

On another note, Aurion you CANT turn off VSA... therefore, Euro wins hands down...

Damn it's hard to understand, but 18's are added to the new euro because the wheel arch design was increased insize.

And as people have already said previously you can add sound deadening in the doors to help reduce noise.

And as Justin said, VSA suxOrs on Aurion as it tends to be restrictive in certain cases of handling.

Need to search it's been covered...... :p

Aurion weighs heaps more than the euro, sound deadening has a lot to do with this.

if change the tyre to get low noise street tyres, would it be help to reduce the noise? I was thinking most of the noise from tyres contact with road surface. and wind blowing on car surface.

yes you can get alot quiter road tyres... but your wet weather handling will be reduced...

just put ron in between the wheel arch + the wheel and you'll have instant sound deadening!
