It will look ridiculous, but yes, 17x9 will fit

no it wont.

at the width and with offsets very close to stock, it will hit the inner suspension area.

Besides running that size and width will drastically decrease performance, fuel economy and driveability in corners.

Chi is right, they will foul the shock absorber. 7in wide with +44 offset is getting fairly close, although if you find a much lower offset you can probably do it.

+1 for this. Offset much closer to +20 or less would be required to fit a 9" wide rim at the front of a dcpoo.

would 25mm spacers eleminate this?

Assuming the width increase of 25mm from centre is equal to each side of the rim, then I reckon a 12-15mm spacer might be sufficient, plus rolled guards and possibly slight flare needed.

I'd advise getting a second opinion on this though.

i remember talking to a guy with a blue dc5 fitting 245 tyres under his guards with 35+ offset. might have to get some more opinion before taking the shot

Sorry for the thread rebirth but I have a question similiar to the question being asked. Is it possible to fit a 18x8 with a +42 offset on a DC2 legally?

dc2 stock wheels are 15. so the max you can go is 17

2 inches

hmm thought so, thanks for that, but im more concerned with the width more than the size.

yeh people've told me 15''x8 isnt the same as 17''x8 the width on the 17'' will appear much wider even though its still x8. have people been telling fibbs

i believe this rule doesnt exist

i thought it was +/- 15 or 20mm in rolling diameter
