Just wondering what would be a good turbo to put onto my h22a?
i want something that if fairly snappy down low... dont want it to take ages to spool up.
its going on a fully built h22....( pistons, rings, injectors,cams... etc) so ability for high boost is there
just curious to what some ppl recomend...

a T3/4 60/80+ would be decent - or something like a T28 off a GTiR. if u want something hi-tech and spool fast, look at the GT series turbos from garret/hks or trust td's but u will pay much more.

whats the main difference between t-25 and t-28?
i can get a t-25's and t04's pretty cheap... but are they any good?
or should i just wait a bit till i got some more cash and put it on after my engine conversion?
i'm in no rush atm, my civ still has its orig motor in.... slowly building up the h22 for serious power... :D :D :D

Size, 54.3mm to 60mm, along with the associated trims and a/r ratio's etc.

You can get T28's cheap off of Nissan's, 200SX and Skylines for instance

i'm guessing you meant you can get CT26's off Soarers and the like ;)

200sx's had T28's and skylines had T3's or something (maybe T28's as well, i dont know a lot about skyline's)

A GT28 will be excellent for street use on a h22a

I reckon an HKS GT2530 would be pretty narly... or an HKS GT-RS...

Think SR20. Pretty much a good comparison for turbo choices

or cheaper than HKS think GT28RS, also does a great job

Yeah, true

I'd be looking on the Silvia and skyline forums for a used turbo for sale.... to a lesser extent, even WRX forums

For a h22a make sure its nothing smaller than a t3. Everything else is a waste of time cos it'll run out of puff by the time you hit 4500rpm. Don't forget that the h22a don't rev out till 7850.
I had a t3 on my old setup and it was seeing 3psi at about 2000rmp.
Some sort of skyline turbo would be good.

if its goin to be built, don't go anything smaller than 400hp. Too small.
Want cheap turbo's??? By one from the states, i just did.
Check out honda-tech.com and go to the trader classifieds and check out the specials they have on at the moment.
Pm if you have any enquiries about building your h22a cos i've done it to mine and all i'm waitin for now is my ecu.

a Good turbo would be a disco potato Garrett T28 BB Rated at 440Hp, and maybe replace the compressor wheel with a larger one for quicker spooling
Or a GT2530Rs Bit of a bigger turbo, Torquey quick spooling and Rollerbearing.

For me, i'll go for KKK K26 or K27 turbo...K27 sounds nicer..hahahaha...

i recently read that a civic had a GT3037 in it...hmm...i wonder will you put that...hehe..

is a GT3037 the same as a GT37RS as in the one down from the GT40, if so
DOOOD that would be insaine, u would get boost at like 5500rpm
ahha! but it would be a nuts kick

i run a hi flowed CT26 from the gt4 celica!! bit bigger than a T04 and yes it does the job all the way to 22psi!!

as far as i know the GT28RS will flow about as much as a highflowed CT26, with much better spool. The GT28R flows about as much as a stock CT26 with again much quicker spool. Even if you went with one of the GT30's it'd prolly spool about the same time as the CT26 but with better top end

I'd choose either of those GT turbo's over the CT26 to be honest

thats what i wanted, but at the time theres a massive difference in $$$. if you really want to go all out, get a gt30 series turbo for sure!
