I have had personal experience with EK civic traction bars and they dont work for Australian cars. Reason being that are designed to be used for the US delivered EK which most models apart from the EK9 are running EG subframe and lower control arms. The traction bars they sell for the EK bolt to your lower front spring fork which is rubber mounted to your control arm (where as the EG and DC2 are bolted directly to your lower control arm and solid mounted) and is pointless which in turn you still have flex on the radius rod so you might as well not use them unless you are prepared to do a EG civic crossmember and lower arm conversion on your EK. My personal experience...... dont believe all the yanks have to say as they will try to sell you anything without advising the ins and outs.

US spec EK cars (1999+ SI excepted) got two piece lower control arms.

That's what you'll need to mount these up.

Yonas has these on the 'parts delivery van', aka EGK24.

Nick.

PS. You might consider some solid poly bushes in the lower shock bush.
The old ones are a b@#ch to get out and the new ones will squeal like a banshee, but it's an option at least.

Not sure.

Get under the car and look at the LCA.

Is it made of two cast pieces bolted together or a single piece unibody like piece ?

bugger i thought that might be the case, i just wanted confirmation, thanks.
When i looked under my car i was pretty sure there wasn't anywhere to bolt the stupid thing. O well gonna have to sell it now

nah i've seen them bolted to EG Dc2 and there is a bolt in the front control arm. the ek4 doesn't have this, its one piece, so i guess you would need to weld it in or drill a hole to bolt it. I'm not gonna bother now.

EM1. I think you got the same prob.

EG/DC have this type of arm, where some kits you bolt inbetween 14 & 17, where the two bolts are or just one of them

eks have this one

Like what was said here as this is an option. Replacing the bush is an option and they squeak because there not supposed to be replaced according to honda as you can not buy it as a separate part. On hind site if you feel they wont work then they are a direct bolt on to eg/dc.
