I have an 05 crv sports with leather
I am having trouble folding the larger of the 2 back seats down. When I pull hte black tab behind the seat it only seems to unlock the clip closest to the door.
Has anyone else had this issue and what it the easiest way of getting it to unclip, or do I have to take it to a honda dealer to get it looked at

Thanks

I only have an 01 gen 1, not an 05 like yours, so it'll likely be different. I only have to pull the tab up on mine and it simply unclicks and swivels down.

May I suggest you re-ask your question over at www.hondasuv.com - it is a site dedicated to the CR-V so you'll most probably get a good response there.

ok im assuming there is a double latch setup. ive never worked on a crv so im only guessing from my experience as a mechanic but there will be a shaft or cable thatll run off the main lever. my guess is that its broken or damaged in some way and thats why its not disengaging. to fix it youll have to pull the seat apart

Yeah it is a double latch and only one of those latches is uncliping
I know nothing about cars so wouldn't know where to start with pulling it apart and I am guessing the bolts are under the seat and visable when it is folded down

had the same issue on my uncle’s 06 Sport. U need 2 make sure the seat is pushed all the way back on it’s rails. Even if it appears to be, chances are that it is slightly out of alignment & will not release on one side to allow u to fold it up. If this doesn’t work, try moving it all the way forward & then push it back as far & evenly as you can.
