sumfink wrong wiv my idle

just wondering if anyone kuld help me out?????

i have a integra v-tir "97 face-lift" and it has been playing up lately...

i drove it in the rain last week and eva since than the car has been idoling weird{by the way i have a injen cold air intake so the pod filter sits right near the ground}..wen i kum to a stop the car will idol at 2.500rpm for about 3seconds than will drop to either 1.500rpm or under 1000rpm tends to change each day..wen it drops below 1000rpm the car feels like it is going to stall..just wondering can anyone help me out wiv this problem..but the funny fing is it will idle normal wen the car is started..

hey mate, i had same problem with my dc5, after that few days of solid rain my car just wouldnt idle steadily either... try reseting your ecu by disconecting your negative on battery for 10mins then start the car up. worked for me :) if still doesnt work you may need to clean your iac valve.

theres nothing wrong with the idle by sounds of it, have you tried increasing the spell checker to up the punctuation?

check your throttle, it may be dirty

Ifs I twas youd Id clean da IACV first,may aswell get some carby cleaner and do the whole Throttle body,put it back together and reset the ECU.If no workie,let us know and we'll take it from there.

blocked air intake maybe. worst case senario is a 02 sensor failing but then your revs should keep bouncing. could be as simple as a ecu reset so you might as well try the simplest solution first and work your way.

mabye your head gasket is slightly cracked when mine was it idled like a pig and didnt blow any white smoke put a new head gasket and machine head and idles good perfect but i also had a lot of other symtoms too like over pressurised cooling system off smelling collant etc so yer just check it out
