g'day brof~i got the problem with my REV again!!!!!
after i fixed my idle air control (IAC) and now become much stable
i just discovered that my REV will go down form 900RPM to 400RPM when i turn on the A/C and the engine will shake so crazy and just like want to turn off...
my EG is using D15B4 twin carby engine with A/C
any suggestion for me??? cheez
solution found!!! had been checked by carby specialist, as the problem found as the blackbox behind the firewall need to be replace and they rekon it is the common problem~ the aftermarket lube to replace will solve the problem~

its fairly normal....engine shakes because the engine rpm reaches a unbalanced level.
Maybe a full service will help.

mine does the same. its the air con stealing power from the engine to cool your air con air. want it to stop, turn the ac off.

is it normal?? because i rememeber that normally if i turn on the A/C, the Idle RPM should be go up a little bit (around 900-1000RPM), before i swap the engine my EG never have the same problem, and the engine just serviced by midas car centre.

on twin carb there is a solenoid that activates when the AC get switch on that lifts the idle, you may need to adjust it.

i just tune the solenoid that activates when the AC get switch on, but sometimes the idle will lift up and sometimes not~it is so strange~
Keep the clutch pushed in.
win.

i don't have clutch, my car is auto~

my aircon deactivates most of the time at idle speed. then i can hear it turn on as i start to come off the clutch. thats when my revs start to drop so i need to rev more to get the car moving or it stalls. without the aircon on the revs dont fall though.

I have the same problem with my eg at the moment. It sometimes gets so bad that the engine will cut off! Can someone please come up with a reasonable answer instead of talking crap about getting a service and all the other smart ass comments, altong0840 has already established this so if you dont know then stay the F$%# out of the forum and stop posting up useless S#%T!!! The solanoid adjustment sounded on track. Where is this located?

it is just locate very close to the battery, to locate the idle control, u will found a pedal cable in engine bay, and follow the cable u will found a solenoid locate right in the centre, there is a screw with a spring, u can adjust the idle Rev with turn it a bit~ about the air con solenoid, it locate very close to the idle, it is same looking as the idle solenoid~ same method to tune, let me know if u want further information, cheez
Thanks mate,
just went down and adjusted, i had to adjust both idle control and aircon idle control. took it for spin, came back, let the car sat idling with and without the aircon on. perfect!!
Thanks alot mate !!

that's how it should be. rpm should go up a little when you turn on a/c. something might be wrong with your ecu..

most of the newer cars have an "idle-up" (or something solenoid) which bumps up the revs when you turn on the ac, maybe give that a clean instead of doing the "full service" as that will not fix the problem.
On the twin carbys, you have to manually adjust the butterflies on the carburetors as they are not controlled by the solenoids

u could try to raise ur idle control on the motor but it would use more petrol when its just sitting there. Maybe u should first drive then turn your AC on.

My car got the same problem before, then I went to the air-con workshop, tell them the story, then they help me to turn up the original rpm, from 900 to around 1000~1100.( dunno how, maybe adjust the cable). And the problem solve... total take no longer than 15mins, so I think won't cost much.
