100 is not exactly 'overheating'. How far over 100 degrees has it gone?

When does it get hot? Traffic, Hwy, all the time on a hot day?

Where have your water lines plumbed for your turbo?

Normal stat and switch or low temp?

Any other changes to cooling system?

EDIT: My temps sit between 80-85 degrees (plumbed in to top hose), low temp stat and switch. Fluidyne half size radiator, turbo pumped from Throttle Body bypass. The intercooler is blocking radiator from direct air flow. Slim fan. 10 row oil cooler.

110 - 120 you should start getting worried. i believe the thermo fans kick in around about 100 ish (with stock thermo switch)

well the water sensor is tapped in the top hose jsut before it hits the radiator

i have a spoon fan switch. so kicks in about 80

for example today. it was 20 degrees in melb, i was cruising then i had some traffic. just stopped a red light and it was to about 105 degrees. the defi goes off at 100 already.. so do you think i should change my defi warning higher?

is your thermo fan kicking in at all? It shouldn't get anywhere near 105 if your fan is meant to kick in at about 80.

Might have more then just a problem with your gauge.

nah, i mean your gauge is probably fine. It may be your thermo fan switch if its not triggering the fans at 80 ish degrees.

Stock water temp swtich kicks in @ 92 degrees. Then swtiches off @ 88 degrees.

Now with a spoon or a low temp swtich it'll turn on earlier i.e 85degree or etc. If going for a low temp fan switch i would upgrade to a lower temp thermostat, which should be done if your gonna turbo.

I would check thermostat to see if it fully opening. 100 is getting up there, a well cooling system shouldnt reach above 92 degree for street use unless there is a problem. Does the stock water temp gauge move?
