i think u need 4k or more... coz u need a matching transmission as well... 2.5k will probably only buy u a front cut or a engine...

wif $1000-2500, b16a is the easiest way n DIY. but the budget stil might going up

Wouldn't bother with a b16a, might as well buy a VTiR EM1.

And unless you know how to install yourself you aint going to find a engine installed ( B16a, B18C, H22a wise ) for under 4k installed.

h22a cost more in labour to fit and engineer than your entire budget. either sell yours and buy a vtir or save more.

my choice would be b18c2 then save money then add some boost or if your die hard na fan guessing not by r33 in your sig get a b18c7/b18cr then mod that. the b18c2 swap is at least 2k labour for engineered swap.

b-series :D

otherwise the custom gear for ur h22a swap would have u more than double ur 2.5k budget

altho with the yen getting most items from overseas makes it a bit dearer atm, still alot of audm engines around at the wreckers to choose from prices vary, but from what I have found an 1800cc engine from a vti-r teg is around 3900, and jdm engines of the same capacity are around 6k with all install parts there all of which is an uninstalled price I may add. If you're after a b-series engine, it's the easiest and most straightforward option.

stock trans wont fit D does not go to B

D-D and B-B series

The budget u have isnt going to be enough tho, I'd double it respectively for a decent DIY job :D

also a side note, upgrade ur rear drums to disc brakes, as imo if youre goin to have the optional engine of at least a b16, u should have the brakes the car comes with, u can still use the same master cylinder, you'll just need ek4/em1 rear brake cut prob around 750 installed and supplied.
