the carbon material in rolls
not too cheap but after the finishd product wud be woth it:)
cost around $200 for everything including carbon sheets resin etc
take around a week to complete as the resin need to set and harden
after giv it a quick polish and ill post the pics up and tell me what you think:)

Although the point of a cf hood is weight reduction...

I'm pretty sure you can get defected if you carbon overlay your hood because it's not properly secured, and it might change the way your body panels react in an accident.

If you're using carbon weave and proper resin it's easy to see it's not a sticker, it'll just make the car heavier by overlaying and would most likely be dangerous.

If you stick it on the outside, like a hood or cover an exterior panel with it not being properly secured, then yes you can be defected.

I've actually seen real cases where carbon fibre overlay has been defected, main concern being that they aren't properly secured at certain structural points and they can possibly change the way the panel acts in an accident (like spearing straight through the windscreen instead of crumpling up).
Also one of the reasons actual carbon fibre hoods are not legal for the street unless they've been approved.

I doubt adhesive on overlay is going to stop something from crumpling lol.
