hey guys
my car is a '96 ej8 civic
my cluster lights have just stopped working
i checked all the fuses and it was the drivers side cluster fuse (30) that was blown
i replaced that fuse and tried the lights but again the same fuse blew

so i proceeded to take out the cluster and check the bulbs
they are all fine.
i took the cluster out and disconnected it then tried the lights again
the fuse blew again....

so my question is
what could be causing this? and does anyone have a wiring diagram for an ej8 so i can try and work it out?

thanks for any help i really appreciate it
cheers, Tom

Make sure the wires are not touching each other... that's probably the cause for the fuse to blow....

is this the diagram u are looking for?? if not, sorry don't know much about civics..

nah i was looking for an actual drawing of how its wired up...
bought a book now so its all good

95% sure its the wiring to the clock thats doing it
all wires are insulated so they wont be touching
but thanks anyway

have you perform any electrical wiring? if you have just go over all the wirings again n see if they havnt touch n short... other than that putter a slight bigger fuse in n see if that helps

If you think it's the clock just unplug it so there's no power running to it. Then check your lights

did this
still blows a fuse... seems the clock isnt on the same circuit
i really need a proper wiring diagram for the whole car
specifically for an ej8... frustrating
wiring looks fine, none touching but will check it again more closely tomorrow
