View Full Version : Is a 90 Integra clutch identical to a 92 integra clutch?

Just wondering if the clutch in a 90 model integra LS is interchangable with a 92 model integra LS? as in number of splines etc

i would think they would be the same as its still the same engine after all and most likely the same box but im not sure i would think they would be the same

Both above me are wrong, the 90-91 and 92-93 clutches are not the same. Pressure plate is universal but but clutch disc is not.

The 92-93 gearbox (YS1) uses a casing more similar to the later Hydro boxes not the early 90-91 cables, specifically the input shaft. Early cables use a smaller shaft, 92+ have larger splines. This means that you need to get the correct clutch disc for the gearbox you are using.

One motor is OBD0 and one is OBD1 for starters! There are tonnes of little things that are different: sensors in different locations and different distributor internals are obvious ones. Compression ratio is identical in both motors, the extra power comes from different cam profiles (and different tuning with the new ECU).
