Hi guys, I am now doing K20 into EK. Just have a quick question to confirm the information.

I am thinking of getting the DC2R 5 lugs conversion with 36mm. So that the drive shaft of K20 with 36mm will fit in them.

Just wondering if anyone know if the drive shaft would be short or long, to go into the ITR 5 lug conversion in EK?
or they would fit perfectly.

besides, i had the DC5R five lugs at the moment. anyone know wat I can do with it to the EK? Or i should sell it off

Thanks

are you 100% going for the 5 stud conversion? if not why not get something like this from HASPORT, they have diff levels. mate has them in his ED.
http://hasport.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=120

alsocant you mix n match with drive shafts? like use 1 part dc5 another ek etc.

wells it would be a good upgrade in your brakes if uve got it already whats the point in getting rid of it? you will need better brakes to pass your engineers anyways

Thanks buddy. I know Hasport make those axle. But now the currency is so bad. If 3 month ago, I will definitely get them.

mix and match is good. but I wan them to be safe :P

Yeah, that exactly I am thinking of upgrading the brake. SAFETY FIRST!!:P
I dun wan a car doesn't brake on freeway.

I can found the 4x114 conversion for AU800. but then I need the axle again. so i am thinking y dun just get the 5 stud conversion and put in the axle.
I had 3 set of wheel with 4x100, 4x114 and 5x114.
So I dun had to worry for them.
What you guys recommend?

check out www.k20a.org (http://www.k20a.org) - lots of info there about k-waps etc..

36mm shafts will be fine to go with the 36mm 5 lug brakes.
If you already got the 36mm hub brakes - keep them and use the 36mm shafts.

only 98 spec up JDM 5 lug is 36mm
Stock DC5R axles = 36mm so it will be a bolt on only if u got 98 spec jdm 5 lug set up.
Otherwise the outer CV needs to be modified to 32mm

AUDM 5 x 114.3 = 32mm. , 4x114.3 = 32mm

Thanks. Yeah, I got all kind of info from there and they are really nice ppl.
I still haven't got the 5 lugs yet. but had been searching one for quite a while.

Cheers. I am looking for the JDM for 3 month but still no luck yet!!
anyone had them??

The reason I wan 5 lugs is because I need bigger brake.
if i swap the axle or purchasing axle from state, I still need to get bigger brake.
But JDM 5 lugs is so hard to get especially in Perth!!

yeh i meant that you could use the inter shaft from one and the outer/cv part from another. cos i know a few ppl who went dseries to bseries are using half d series, half b series. but it seems you should be sweet with the 5 lug. only down side is you will need to get new rims now:p

Hit the local wreckers for CRV front hubs. They are identical to the JDM dc2r hubs with the 36mm shaft sides. All you need to find is the ITR rear assembly to make it a complete 5 lug

The Dc5r shafts will directly fit. They are the right length.

Otherwise, if you can only get the 32mm hubs, bring the shafts to the driveshaft shop and get them to change the outer to 32mm CV.

Thanks. Contacted them like two days ago. they charge 1400 without mc and booster. if adding mc & bb and shipping to WA, that is way too much!!

97-01 CRV knuckle, hub, rotor and caliper then re-use your Ek's lca etc..

CRV knuckle dimension is same as JDM ITR, only difference is little thicker in some areas of the CRV knuckle.

For the rear end 5 lug, you can use ITR or CTR trailing arms, hub, rotor, caliper assembly

Sweet!! but doubt if anyone just selling the rear ITR or CTR trailing arms, hub, rotor, caliper assembly. Haha.. I think would be harder to source compare to full set or the front only :P
