Buying a Jazz - price help

Hi Guys,

We're going to buy a 2nd hand Jazz over the next few days and wanted to ask the members for some advice for asking price / actual price.

I'm going to visit a few dealers today - and it seems 2006/2007 Jazz VTI's are around 15-17k listed. How much do you think i can push them down on price?

Also - any opinions on about 2006 - 2008 models (dealer and private sellers) - what i should be looking for and general price - maybe some members can let us know what they got their car for?

I'm hoping because we're paying in cash + downturn we can get a good (2007) car for less than 15k - is this possible?

hello bluejam... well i think you can push the price down to 14 -15k seeing you are paying by cash... just have to know how to bargain with them...

what sort of k's are you looking for? cos the more k's the more you can bargain with them...

and are you going for a manual or CVT? coz CVT (auto) one is a little more dearer...

Its odd - just found a 2007 VTI model with 7000km, 2007 - he just said he'd sell it for $14k - yet others on the net are asking $16-17k for 2007 models with 30,000k+. Seems like some sellers are just trying it on?

well you can get sellers that wants to sell there car ASAP so they put the price down a fair bit and also could be a mechanical fault with the car so that's why they want to get rid of it cheaper... so b4 buying make sure you get a mech to check it...

or you can always go on http://www.redbook.com.au/ and see how much the car is really worth....
