hey accord guys. I just bought a 1996 Accord VTi. 153000 kms, FULL service history from the previous 2 owners. 20th aniversary edition with Sunroof. Extra clean engine bay, exterior and interior for $6300.
No pictures as of yet .
I want to some stuff to it. Are there such things as angel lights/ lips etc for the 96 accords?
I want to know what springs I should get because I just want to lower it. Ive had King Springs in the past on a Civic, but I've forgotten which is lower; Super lows OR Ultra Lows?
I want the lower of the two.

Cheers guys in advance!

Hey guy

Congrats on joining the cd5 fan! lol Theres quite lot of aftermarket things that you can get for the accord. In regards to King springs - unfortunately they dont have super lows for cd5s just lows. If you like to get yourself a nice suspension setup it will be better for you to go for coilovers.

cheers mate, but how much gap will there still be with King Spring Lows?
Coilovers are abit out of my range... Too much $$$ for ride height!

get K-macs mate. they manufacture to watever ride height you want, and are far superior in quality to kings (in my opinion, I dislike kings).
Anyways, If u don't want a gap, I hope you know your ride quality will be badly affected, it will feel like a go-kart bouncing around on the road, not to mention the severe wear to your shocks.

Only cb7 accords (older accords). Im pretty sure most of the suspension is the same.

Yeah i know the ride will be alot more bumpier than standard springs. Ive had a civic in the past before with super lows. Anyway, how much are those K- macs?
And what about pedders? Do they have anything for CD5's?

Your front will sit about this height, i found the king spring lows sit well for if you don't wanna do 'fully sick' crawls over speed humps and still drive it slightly like a normal car.

The springs will make the ride bumpier and more ridgid, but has nothing on coilovers or D2 :P

the accord is currently running Tein SS and dumped, I changed the springs to coilovers because i wanted a stiffer ride, and very little body roll.

You'll also find that where your extractors come down to meet with the rest of the exhaust piping/CAT that will scrape alot if your not careful, even on the king springs, depends where you live / drive your accord.

Aw please, stop your whinging. You don't live in Sydney and drive on ridiculously bad roads LOL. Ur downpipe will probably scrape more than anything, unless ur lucky enough to scrape your gearbox or tow hook :P
K-macs can be had for under 400, i think i was quoted around $350 installed but im not 100% sure.
Pedders might have something, but if all you wan't is springs, not alot of point paying more. U won't notice much differents in regards to ride quality if u have aftermarket springs on stock shocks, as they all put the same amount of pressure onto the shocks.

p.s. josh, mine's still lower and creeps over speedbumps sideways....Just to piss off people behind me :P
