View Full Version : Decisions Decisions, what to do??
Just got my tax return (yay :) ), and was think of getting some 16" BC P1's in gun metal. Just wondering if people thought it was worth changing from stock to go only 1" bigger? ei Should I just keep the stockies and spend money elsewhere???

I got the BC P1s, but in white. It's worth it i reckon, wider rim = can run wider rubber, 7" should let you run at least 215s (though i'm only running 205/45's).

The factory itr rims already look so nice
I say go at least 17" if your going to upgrade

Yeah guys thats my car.... sold the work wheels and got performance mods done to it.... anyway bcp1s are nice but i think the stock ones are already very nice. Anyway this is just my advise that 15s are the best ride on a dc2R..... from experience.

some people say 16 is a good compromise for performance and looks
but i dunno...cos if im not wrong the jdm type rs run on 16 so maybe theres a reason for that
but p1s are nice and 16s wun look too huge on a dc2
just swap back to stockies when u visit the track if u worried about performance

i defintely felt the strain on the car running P1's... if you want 16" look at lighter rims such as the te37 or the ce28n.. otherwise stick to your stockies and get semi slicks :)
I thought BC's were light weight? It's the design I like coz it's similar to stock with the thin spokes.
It keep the stock wheels, and spend the money on performance parts... Build the ultimate sleeper!

16x7 TE37's, CE28's are around 5.2 kgs which are lighter than the stock 15's!! So it'd undoubtedly help performance and look good too.. trouble is they're more than 2,500! still probably be a reasonable performance mod!

THats right... if you gonna go for larger rims... you better off going with Rays .. they are lighter than anyother rim, other wise stick to stockies...
But if anyone is willing to sell there stock dc2r rims... please let me know....

i would just spend my money else where champ
dont waste your time upgrading to 16", they will still look tiny with low profile rubber, atleast 17" and up would be much better.
invest in a proper cold air intake setup or something
cheers
Thanks for replies guys, given the opinions listed here I've decided to get injen intake and some Toda Head jobs instead of rims atm.

FYI, 1kg increase in the weight per rim = 15kg of unsprung weight....approx
