225/50 with 16" = 225/45 with 17"??

Would a 17" rim fit onto 225/45?

Currently it's 16" on 225/50.

Yeh just depending the rim width. You can get rim width in many different sizes to fit many different tyres.

most normal 17's would be 7.5/8 which is possible. So check your rim width and get back to us.
