Have just completed a road trip from Sydney to the Gold Coast and i was impressed with its fuel economy. 8.5 litres per 100kms on the way up and 8.3 on the return. That was with a boot full of luggage and the misses and two kids. At one stage the trip meter was showing a range of 740kms.

Would E10 produce the same results??

Only complaint is the cargo area is a lot smaller than the previous 02 CRV.

I just came back from a similar 4000km road trip. Mine was Canberra to Brisbane plus trips to Gold Coast from Brisbane on a daily basis. I have 2011 CR-V Sport (auto). I even booked my 10,000km service in Brisbane before I left Canberra. My overall fuel consumption for the entire trip was 8.3L per 100km as per the computer. This was with the boot full and 3 adults in the car. I also noticed that using BP ultimate I was achieving the best results as per the trip computer. The other fuel I was using was Shell V-max and Caltex Vortex. All 98 octane as this is the only fuel I use. The longest range that the computer showed at one stage was 755km and this was after travelling around a 100km on that tank of fuel. Only if this was true. The range starts falling quite rapidly after the half tank mark.

I’ve done this same trip twice before with my previous car, 2008 Toyota Rav4 CV (auto) and I can certainly say that the Honda returns better fuel mileage over the Toyota. I also found the seats to be more supportive in the Honda over the 13 hour trip.
