Just took my Jazz in for its first service today. Afterward, it seemed to run a bit smoother and more responsively.

Now is this just the "seat of the pants dyno" talking? or do they alter ECU settings at the first service from some kind of running in mode to the standard settings?

Just curious really...

Yeah, well, it was a bit more than 1000km, but I couldn't get it in earlier because of Christmas and I've only actually had it 3 weeks (and put a small dent in it already:o)

oh, sad to hear that about you got a dent on such nice little car. My car passed 3000km now, and I feels it become run-in now, hope its become better and better on fuel.

I'm waiting for the end of the holidays and I'll get in touch with the lease company to find out how to get it fixed. There should be money in the budget, because my fuel allowance (calculated based on how much they charged for it) assumes I'll get 20l/100km:eek:

I get any leftovers at the end of the lease. repairing stuff like this just means less left over for me.:( At least I shouldn't actually have to pay (directly):)

20L/100km, that's a lot, mate. I got around 8.3L/100L per tank, and expecting get less from now. I got 6.7L/100km so far at currrent tank, hope it can keep low like that, haha

Like I said, it was conservative. I expect to get between 6.5 & 7 and have some money left at the end of the lease.

Don't believe that little gauge, it doesn't count what you use when you are idling, so it gets a bit optimistic if you drive in traffic a lot. (Wheels mag found a 10% discrepancy)

true, so i will base on my own calculation, the little gauge just display for fun only, haha

usually i get about 480-500 max on full tank. i fill up about 33-35 litters how long does the fuel last, full tank from the 0 km on the warning light :p its just to check. bp 98 or caltex 98 never fill up 92 or 95

but i always fill up arround 420-440 km just before fuel lights are on.

highway runs i get about 5.8, city drive 6.5, spirited driving worst was 7.6 its all based on full tank fuel till empty. and its reset again when i fill up fuel.

and ive done 7000 ish km on the clock

i think ur record is reasonable for done 7000km, i will update mine later.

the fuel tank warning light comes on way too early i reckon, it keeps saying 0km left but still about 7 litres left in the tank.

im getting average 7.7 with 2500km on the clock. lowest i had was 5.

i hope i get average below 7 soon

the ratio is sometimes wrong..

full tank of fuel it tells me i got 600 km out off it =.=...
so i cant really tell much if it accurate or not..
if i drive through hill climb runs and training day.. 380 km only AHAHAA.. and still recoreded 6.7

same here, i can't trust it at all, but it looks cool anyway.

FWIW, my meter has been 1.5% too over-optimistic, approx 0.1l/100 km (11,000 km so far).

It certainly appears to include idling time (sit in traffic, or at lights, shortly after re-setting it to see this).

I suspect the approx 5% improvement I've picked up over that time is mostly driving style (first time I've had a direct fuel use indicator in my car).

The low fuel indicator comes on at 8 litres left.
