Where do you guys move yours? Pics?

By the way, is this illegal? (It's not obstructed by anything)

It's only legal if the car came with it from factory, relocation of the plates is illegal unfortunately, another silly law such as having the h-pattern in your cabin, lol.

Alot of my Skyline mates get done for this alot, such an easy defect to spot too lol, it's like handing money away like a carbon bonnet...

If you were to do it, having it on the passenger side makes the most sense as it away from your radiator, effectively its done for cooling, it's mostly all looks as Ive seen no improvements on many cars in terms of cooling

Ah right, I better keep it in the OEM position then - It is a rather stupid thing to lose money for.

I never knew about the h-pattern one. I have my civic badge in my cabin...

Just keep it in the middle. Looks best imo. Unless your at the track and want to save that 0.000000000001 second, i wouldn't bother :)

nearly put my motorbike plate on it, nearly, I could see it not goin well tho lol

i thought it was a legal modification if the number plate could be 100% visible from within a range (60 degrees both sides from 20 meters or something along those lines).

I don't like the mod anyway. Symetry ftw.

Cable ties FTW :p

In reality anything non standard is a defect (ok....lets not forget 'engineering')

If you want the look relocate for those occasions for show (i.e Meets and Cruises and just showing the car off)

I guess its a pain relocating your number plate JUST for that time but atleast it reduces your risk of defects a little

> extra 90 bucks on top for rego though

Mine weren't, closer to $40.

> I only paid a one time payment of $395

Ouch. This definitely isn't right for standard slim line plates.

Nick.

395 is a one off fee for custom plates in QLD. unless you want something really fancy then its 2000 bucks.

Can be applied to any vehicle as you own the plate for life. (or until you sell it)

yes moving number plates isnt a problem to to me, as long as plates are shown @ front bumper in 100% visable to others, not at the window screen,
