hey guys first thought id better post up pics of my ek bought it a whielbackfor a pretty good price its my 2nd car 1st being an ae92 corolla

so yea here are the details of itEngine: d16 single cam

Exhaust: Headers 2inch catback with a 2.5inch sports muffler-getting either twinloop or straight through silent cannon style muffler

Suspension: Koni adjustable rear and koni shocks and springs up front

Wheels: DTM lightweight race wheels 15inch

Modifications: Pod Stainless intake CAI eyelids front and rear swaybars exhaust system suspension

Stereo Audio / Visual: JVC dvd H/U 6.5 cadence mids with alpine type e tweeters, pioneer 6x9 in the rear Clarion amp mated perfectly to a 12inch clarion sub

future mods include fixing up the trolley bumps
new headers, 16" jap wheels going to lower the back a bit when i get bigger wheels dvd screen and as i mentioned earlier either twin loop or straight through silent cannon style muffler


if anyone would like to trade for my rare DTM JAPAN race wheels then hit us up

looks good. I like those rims, should keep them.

I think you should pull the headers off and give em a clean/paint up.

lol that what im thinking although i have found some cheaper stainless steel ones

but im just after some wider and an inch bigger wheels so i can drop it more

looks good. I like those rims, should keep them.

I think you should pull the headers off and give em a clean/paint up.

Use a lacquer thinner or similar it will stop all the fumes burning into the headers and making them look shit

I can't argue with that :)

PS interesting intake setup.


Use a lacquer thinner or similar it will stop all the fumes burning into the headers and making them look shit
do you do this with any sort of paint on headers? like that high temp coating stuff made for exhausts/headers?

dunno if teh flexipipe makes much of a difference but it feeds to where the little inlet is in the front right of the bar, wouldwork better then the where the last owner had it
covered with a stocking facing the headers :rolleyes:
will sumtime have anouther peice of alloy facing down in there

Do you use a lacquer thinner with any paint?
I was at an auto shop and they had 'Header Paint' in an aerosol can. How do you use a lacquer thinner with that?
