hi all, just wondering if any one knows the size of the stock pipes for their exhaust and if they are clampped on to the stock cannons, becasue i bought some after market cannons with a 2.5 inch inlet and 4 inch tip.

I know the outpipe of the headers is 2", so i would guess 2" pipe as well?
Someone needs to confirm though :p

The stock exhaust is 2.25". The right side muffler (looking from the back) is welded into the catback but the muffler on the left is just bolted on.

if you bought mufflers only you will need to cut and weld them on to suit as above only 1 side is bolted on....

yer i checked the right side is bolt on, cutting and welding the other one on tomorow

take photos, but imo i wouldn't want to modify anything stock as i will part out my car later on and stocky it back before i trade it in.

cant weld them on today, put the car on the hoist and didnt look like an easy job beacsue the pipe sizes are different so i have booked in on friday at a exhasut place. hmmm the wait

I would have thought that the 2.25" catback piping would fit inside the 2.5" muffler piping quite snuggle? Did you try machining down the catback to fit inside the 2.5"?

shouldn't be too hard of a job unless they didnt have the enlarge section from 2.25>2.5".
