View Full Version : Greetings from another EK owner
Hi everyone!
I've been on this forum for a while, but haven't been able to post anything because the previous email address I used wouldn't let me get into the inbox. Anyway, I'm an owner of yet another EK - there are just so many! Four black ones around where I live including mine!
I haven't done much to it. Pretty much a ricebox at the moment:
Lowered springs
Spoon style lip
DC5 leather front and rear seats
Ebay EK9 style grill with a mugen badge that works as good as speed holes!
Here are a couple of pics (courtesy of niiCk):

Hey thanks - it's just a badge. Actually it'd work worse than speed holes since it restricts airflow...

Welcome and let me say what a nice clean EK.
did you do the seats yourself? they fit in nicely.
Got plans for this EK?
Thanks SHOGUNOVDDRK, I'll see if I can make it.
Hey Felix! Thanks man =D
Uncle did it for me - nice job indeed. Might have plans when the engine blows - that might be a while. Only got 55k kms on it. For the moment, thinking of getting a 22mm sway bar with ASR brace and some nice rims.

felix man, take photos for me and nate=D

Yeah, 'spoon style' is what's written on the sticker at the back of the lip. I think JDMyard stocks them.

Nice car, is it an em1?
Also, to me that looks like a mugen style front lip, not a spoon lip. Does anyone know the difference...
Mugen emblem is on an angle?
Very clean, black ftw!

Nah, it's an EK.
Yeah, the lips look very similar - I think the holes are different shape and the spoon lip has a bit of an elevation. Check out jdmyard. They have pics of both.
I think badge is straight. Looks like its on an angle because of the slant in the grill - one of those optical illusion things =P
h shiz yeah didnt see that it said it was an ek1
