[MELB] Honda Service Specialist? [Archive]

Hi all, I have searched but haven't been able to find recommendations for a good Honda workshop in Melbourne. I am due for my 50,000km service and since the car is no longer covered under warranty do not feel the desire to go back to the dealership.

I was hoping someone could recommend a good Honda specialist workshop to go to. I am aware of one in Thomastown but as I am in the SE suburbs that is pretty far to go. I came across a place called Hondaspares in Keysborough, can anyone recommend them? Thanks

What do they do at 50k? Just change oil?

There is a good place up in Box Hill which specialize in Honda's but i forgot the name of the company....

maybe someone in Melb can tell MSKYO what the company is called and the address...

I'd recommend ART @ Heidelberg if you are interested, my mate runs the joint and they know their Hondas. A number of members here use them and I'm sure they can vouch for me on their services and their professionalism.

^Thanks for that I appreciate the effort. I ended up booking in my service with CRS Automotive in Patterson Lakes. Its run by a guy called Carl Schembri who worked for Honda for 20 plus years apparently. Found a few things about them on the forum (outside the Euro section) and people seem to think very highly of him. Spoke to him on the phone for a while and he seemed to know his stuff with regards to specific issues I had. Definitely was more informative than what I would have got out of the dealer over the phone.

Anyway his website is:

sorry to hijack... anyone know any good ones in the south east side area of melb ? i just wanna get my ingalls camber kit installed and tein ss adjusted a bit lower ...

The place in Thomastown is called HondaTec. Website below:

That is the extent of what I know about them though, although their website is quite detailed.

Drezy I would recommend CRS Automotive. Did a very good thorough job, was a fair bit cheaper than the dealer and Carl really knows what he is talking about. He actually sorted out a brake issue I was having which as I found out was caused by a basic error made by the dealership when changing my pads at my previous service
