[CU2] how to turn RDS on?

I've had my CU2 luxury sat nav for about a week now and I think I have discovered everything in the car except the Radio Data Service RDS on the radio.

The stereo has RDS printed on it and the manual states how to turn RDS on but when navigating to the area on the audio section on the screen there is no RDS option.

Has anyone got this working on their CU2?

yea we do, i dont have the lux but im pretty sure its the same. in the menu where you control the bass, treble etc... i think at the end of the options theres a rds option.

you have to remember that not all radio stations have rds, mainly the mainstream stations

SteveH, I guess you haven't been able to get RDS working on your Euro Sat Nav?

I know its a pretty minor issue but would be nice to see RDS working. I've got the 1000km service coming up on Friday, I'll see if someone in the service dept knows :rolleyes:

I finally pick my Euro up tomorrow, a 'mere' 4 and a half months after ordering it. I will ask during the handover if they know how to do it.

I have finally picked up my Euro and am stoked with it so far. I have gone through the manual and it does not look like you can get RDS on the sat nav version. When you go through the steps as per the manual, the option for the RDS setting is not there on the display. It must be something that we miss out in Australia

bummer, they must have disabled RDS from the sat nav version which is weird.

I thought the dealer must have tuned them in pre-sale?

So the RDS doesnt show anything besides the name in Vic?

Well in Brisbane for example, 104.5FM shows TRIPLE M and then some other writing like Home or Rock or something, 105.3 show B105 and then some other writing that scrolls along...sorry I cannot remember exactly I am normally watching the road...lol

Unsure if they did it in pre-sale as I have put other stations in and it worked, but NOT all stations have it, if you press the Mode on the steering wheel you should find them...
