Hi guys and gals,

i'm just about to do my first service since i bought it about 2mths ago..

it's an EG hatch, Twin carby, with 215,xxx kms on it..

So, what oil should i use (i'm after the weight not brand)? is 20W50 too thick ? should i run 10W40 as it's multi valves ? the car drive and sound good, no knocking or anything..

Cheers

go with a 15w50. thats the best for ur car age. if you do have compression issues you might as well go with a thicker oil if not then 15w is the way to go bro! what ever brand you settle with get a semi or full sync oil. you cant go wrong.

Start with 10w-40 and if you find that you are burning oil, go for 10w-50 or 15w-50.
