Engineered + registered as a 2 seater. certain requirements to match too. such as removal of seatbelts and some other things

$600 to engineer, u have to take everything out and carpet it all so no wires etc exposed... waste of time imo, just take them out for the track then bolt them back in later on

currently i am driving around with no rear seat,no seat belts, no seat buckles, no parcel tray,no spare tyre:p.the funny thing is my bro is a cop and he wants me to make it legit.i cant really lie about everything to a cop though when they ask about everything

do you have rear x bar that dosnt permit the rear seats? power to weight wise d be better off upping the power of the b18 as taking all that weight from the rear of the car would stuff around the balance of the car... but if you engineer the car the 600 will go towards every mod u have on the car... exhaust , induction etc so in that respect everything eill be legit but you would have to play aroung with the balance to get it cornering well once u strip the rear out

lol the cop bro might not know anything.. could just be assuming as most cops including highway patrols doo....

engineer it along with other shit.. once ur done modding.. saves u the money.. unless thats all ur planning to do...

i spoke to a hwy patrol that defected me.. told me to get my shit engineered and ill be fine after that.. coz as hwy patrol that have to look for things like that..

some cops let it go.. but yeah.. $500+ just to make ur car a legal 2 seater? i say put the seats back in! unless u engineer a bunch of other mods with it..

but hey if u got the cash to do it.. then DO IT.

ive been pulled over by standard cops with a stripper rear they didnt say anything..

depends on how fussy the cops are.

not going to happen unless u know one, due to the lack of engineers they can charge whatever they want, plus that would be a minimum price as well, they can charge that 600 for the certificate then an hourly charge on top as well for going over the car so getting a cheaper price is not likely

ENGINEER IT.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

GG.

Honestly stripping the rear = Useless unless you're going hardcore. (cage, welds or someshit)
If you're just stripping it and using it as a daily; its a waste of time, but if you're baller then GET IT ENGINEERED.

Dupac's also on the ball, its alot on the cop that pulls you over as well.
Just my 2c.

mate I wouldnt bother.
If you get defected you get defected, run the risk i say.

Don't get me wrong, I would be on the legal side, however these modifications which do nothing in which provoke the whole "car modification scene vs. the law" is ridiculous.

Just say they are getting re-upholstered. Not worth spending $600 to get it enginered i don't see how its worth it. I doubt very highly you would recieve a defect notice stating you need to get the car towed home because ur rear seat is out.

Have you had your car engineered? If so, how long ago and where are you located? If you can get a car engineered for $600 in Melbourne then please let me know who does it :zip:
