I've been told by a few work mates that by replacing the mechanical water pump[the one used to allow flow of the radiator coolant around] with an electrical one.. it improves throttle response..

the theory behind this is that the mechanical pump is reliant on a cog run from the engine... by replacing this with an electrical pump that is one less cog spinning on the engine.. some cases u can actually adjust the belts so that the cog has the least resistance when spinning...

anyone confirm to me whether this is worth it?
roughly $300-$500 for an electrical pump..
by workmate decided to replace his mazda astina with one.. but he had to use a Seat cordoba electrical pump..?
most new cars have electrical??
how about the 1988 CRX d16a8...?
