How to troubleshoot faulty sunroof?

Hello everyone,

I have an aftermarket electric sunroof in my civic and it doesn't work. (No power)

Does anyone have a few tips to try an troubleshoot the problem?

I've pulled out the sunroof button switch and tested it for power and there is 12v with Ignition switched on.. what else can I test for?

find out if power is going to the s/roof motor?

Short the the in-out wires.. to the switched

That's what the Honda manual says for my EG5 sun roof check.
