Hai all, just a quick question to those who have gone from stock to -> Mugen/Modulo/Type R - lip / bumper replacement did you do it yourself? or get a shop to do it? I've tried looking around on the net but no luck with any diy's

I managed to pickup the oem front and rear lip as well as skirts for my car (fd1 - bris) and i put them on for a little test fit and everything seems ok but only the skirts came with actual instructions. Now is it stupid to assume that you just line up the lip and then drill extra holes where there are none? ie - rear lip for example, holes line-up on the side but underneath there are a few that dont look like they go anywhere? And so would you just drill into stock bumper?

haha this is a really noob question, this is my first honda lol =P

LOL ask ej20i... he did a DIY fit and well, without instructions or guidance, it can be a hit or miss affair. I don't think it'd be nice to end up with a lot of excess holes drilled into your car because you didn't know how to line it up properly.

I personally went to a pro to get mine painted and fitted as that just made it a lot easier and ensured it was done right. However that was because I bought replica kit and hence it didn't fit entirely perfectly. If you bought genuine kits (e.g. Mugen, Modulo, etc) then that would be a different story.

Okies thanks for the advice =] it's just oem lip so it all fits perfectly even w/o any screws holding it in. I'll get onto ej n ask him how he did it and give it go
