Hey everyone,

Just pick up my new Honda Accord Euro Luxury Black Auto on the 8th of Jan and straight away drove from Sydney to Adelaide via Hay on a family holiday :)

I did 1200 kms on my first day and the car feels really lovely to drive on the good stretch of road from Sydney to Adelaide.

i heard a new car should avoid the motorways for around 500km-1000km?

did you get lots of bugs on your front bumper?

Hello Burak,

Sorry I wasn't monitoring the fuel consumption. I will on the trip home. However whilst cruising on the highway I did noticed that the display says 7.1/100kms and 8.5/100kms. I have been on BP Ultimate and Caltex Vortex since leaving Sydney.

...and Migoreng,,,yes bugs are unavoidable when you travel in summer but they wash off easily. It's a myth that you can't travel on highway in the 1st 500 - 1000kms. Modern engines are run in already when new though not the gear box. I simply take it for a cruise and there's no better way to run your engine in :)
