hey guys,

just purchased the new CRV 08 lux

when i got the car home, the window seal on the roof, was popping it.

tried to put it back into place, didnt work

brang the car back to get 1000km service
told them about the problem,

all they did was glued it back

now thinking, paid 43k for the car, and all they could do was glue it back on,
isnt that pathetic? cause when i look at the repaired spot on top of windscreen, just doesnt seem right,

should i be doing something here?

kenny

I would if I were you. That's not how a problem should be "fixed".

Take it back and if they wont fix it try and get the workshop manager out and tell him your complaint. If that doesnt work get in touch with honda australia

Actually Hyundai quality is pretty good these days...almost as good as Honda (Thailand-made ones)

The point is it's a new car and so it should be all new. The Honda dealer should fix it properly in keeping with the newness of the car. I think the ACCC goes too soft on car dealers and car manufacturers.

Cars are the biggest investments most of us will ever make; even more so than a house. A house eventually appreciates. Cars depreciate and they don't last forever and so must be replaced regularly. Add up the cost of having a car over a life time. They are bottomless money pits whereas houses eventually are worth more than they cost.

i hear dealers say this all the time, but i'm sure the people at BMW would not have handled this situation the same.
