Hey guys,

Just wanted to know if my 98 EJ8 civic bonnet is interchangeable with EK bonnets of the same year?

yes exactly the same, pre-facelift 96-98 ek,ej the same.

yea 96-98 bonnets can fit any Civic :D

Also you wouldn't be able to tell me if fibreglass bonnets that is reinforced are legal in VIC

almost everything after market is illegal

basically anything that is not stock is defectable by the cops, thats the down side of modding. your taking the risk of not getting noticed.
i would rather get a carbon fibre bonnet, as fibreglass shatters and if they go through the windscreen in an accident..GG you.

you can get them engineered, but like anything it comes with a cost

my mate paid, when the dollar was good $1400 for a legal fibreglass bonnet, police still hate that and pull him over everytime we hang out.

The std bonnet is not that heavy when compared to other makes, I wouldn't stress about it

or buy a cf one and paint it properly top and under, works a treat

From what i have reserached you can either purchase a ADR approved bonnet from a manufacturer which supplies all the right documentation. eg blitz (not sure if they have one for civ or any honda for that matter) or have one made up with an engineer signatory.

I'm interested to know if there are any ADR apporved bonnets by a manufacturer for 96-98 civs?
